Does anyone have any thoughts on pricing for Windows Vista (final release)?

The Future of Vista
It'll be around the same prices as XP - but obviusly the better the edition then the more it'll cost. I reckon that XP at the start was about £140 ish here... (t'was some time ago mind you) so it'll be around that I would have thought for Ultimate.
Really not sure - they'll announce the prices late August/early September apparently.

Steve Ballmer did say it will be similar to current versions of Windows. I don't know, pricing has not been determined. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

It would only be speculation. I expect Home Basic full to be around $199 and the other skus to cost proportionally more in about the same relationship as Home, Media Center, and Pro today. I do not expect x64 to cost any more than x86.

I believe the plan is to ship x64 in the same package as x86, and the user gets to decide which to install.
